Dear Friend
For three years, eight months and twenty-one days, our daughter Chaya Mushka, of blessed memory, lived furiously with joy and passion, determined to give to the world around her. Now she no longer can.
But we can.
Chaya Mushka's life was a gift. She captured the heart of every person that met her because of her intense love for life, and her extraordinary joy, spirit, and strength.
She valiantly fought her illness for eight months and never allowed herself to be defined by it. No matter the condition of her physical body, she was defiantly herself, her spirited personality shining through. Even just days before her passing, her eyes closed in her hospital bed, she lay stringing beads to make a necklace for her mother, carefully feeling and choosing the beads to make a pattern, measuring it around her neck to be sure it would fit.
In her struggle against her illness and with her passing, Chaya Mushka inspired thousands throughout the world to do good deeds. (Visit the website created in her honor, www.chayamushkasgift.org, and tell us about your Mitzva and good deed.)
In Chaya Mushka's memory, a fund was established to bring the joy she experienced while ill to children in similarly trying circumstances, to perpetuate her impact and inspiration. With your contribution we can keep her legacy alive.
Thank you
